HVAC Maintenance Plans in Hayden
With a maintenance plan, we come out twice a year: in spring to check your air conditioner or heat pump, and in fall to check your furnace. We clean, tighten, measure and write down what we find, so small wear gets handled before it becomes a breakdown.
What a Maintenance Plan Does for Your Home
Most heating and cooling failures start small. A loose wire that heats up over a season. A flame sensor coated in residue. A condensate drain slowly filling with algae. None of these make noise until the day the system quits, and they are all easy to catch on a careful visit.
Our plans are built around that kind of attention. Maintenance plans start from $14.99 a month and come with tune-ups, repair discounts and priority scheduling. We time the cooling visit before the first hot stretch of summer and the heating visit before the first hard freeze.
If you already have an older system, a plan is often the most sensible way to stretch its life. If you have a new one, it keeps it running the way it did on install day.
What We Check on Every Visit
- Electrical connections and capacitors
- We tighten terminals, test capacitors against their rated values and look for discolored or pitted contacts. A weak capacitor is one of the most common reasons an AC won't start on a hot afternoon.
- Burner, flame sensor and ignition
- On the fall visit we clean the flame sensor, inspect the burners and igniter, and watch a full heating cycle start to finish. We also check the heat exchanger area for signs of cracking or rust.
- Refrigerant pressures and temperature split
- We measure how much the air cools across the indoor coil and read system pressures. Numbers that drift from one year to the next tell us something is changing long before you feel it.
- Condensate drain and pan
- We flush the drain line and check the pan and safety switch. A clogged line can shut the system off or leak water into your home.
- Outdoor unit cleaning
- We rinse the condenser coil, clear leaves and cottonwood fluff from the fins and make sure the unit sits level with room to breathe.
- Filter, thermostat and written notes
- We change or check the filter, confirm the thermostat reads and cycles correctly, and leave you a short written record of what we found and anything worth watching.
Signs Your System Is Due for Regular Care
It has been more than a year
If you can't remember the last tune-up, the small stuff has had time to build up. That's usually where a plan pays off first.
Energy bills creeping up
A dirty coil, a sticky blower or low refrigerant makes the equipment run longer for the same comfort. The bill notices before you do.
Short cycling or long run times
A furnace that clicks on and off every few minutes, or an AC that never seems to stop, is telling you something is out of adjustment.
Uneven rooms and weak airflow
A clogged filter or a struggling blower motor can leave the far bedrooms warm in July and cool in January.
Your system is past ten years old
Older equipment benefits most from regular checks. We can tell you honestly whether it has good years left or whether it is time to start planning ahead.
How a Plan Works From the First Call
- 1
A quick phone conversation
You tell us what equipment you have and how it has been running. We explain the plan, answer questions and give you a free quote.
- 2
We book your seasonal visits
Plan members get priority scheduling, so we set the spring and fall visits at times that work for you, ahead of the busy rush.
- 3
The tune-up itself
A technician works through the full checklist indoors and at the outdoor unit. We lay down floor protection, and the work area is left as clean as we found it. Expect roughly an hour for a typical system, a bit longer if you have more equipment.
- 4
Clear findings and no pressure
If we find something that needs repair, we show you what it is and give you a written quote before any work begins. You decide. Plan members get a repair discount if you go ahead.

What Shapes the Cost of a Plan
Plan pricing is simple, but a few things about your home can change which plan fits best. We walk through them on the phone so you know exactly what you are signing up for before the first visit.
- How many systems you have
- A single furnace and AC is the simplest setup. Homes with a second system, a heat pump or several mini-split heads need more time per visit.
- Type of equipment
- Gas furnaces, heat pumps and ductless units each have their own checklist. A heat pump runs year-round, so it gets attention in both seasons.
- Age and condition
- An older system may need extra cleaning or parts on the first visit to get it back to a good baseline. We tell you about that up front.
- Access to the equipment
- Equipment tucked into an attic or a cramped crawlspace takes more time to reach and work on than a furnace sitting in an open utility room or garage.
Maintenance Plan Questions
Something not covered here? (208) 834-9366
Do I really need two visits a year?
If your home has both heating and cooling equipment, we recommend it. The spring visit focuses on the cooling side and the fall visit on the furnace, and each covers parts the other doesn't touch. Catching a problem before the season starts leaves time to fix it calmly. Heat pumps gain the most, since they carry the load all year.
Will a tune-up keep my system from ever breaking down?
No honest company can promise that. What regular care does is catch the common, predictable failures early, like weak capacitors, dirty flame sensors and clogged drains. Fewer surprises and a longer life for the equipment are the realistic payoff.
What happens if something breaks between visits?
Pick up the phone and use the same number. As a plan member you move up the schedule and pay a discounted rate on the repair. Nights and weekends are covered too, since we offer 24/7 emergency HVAC repair and charge nothing extra for the late hour or the urgency.
Is the tune-up just a chance to upsell me on new equipment?
No. The visit is about keeping what you own running well. When a repair makes more sense, that is what we recommend. If your system is nearing the end of its life, we show you what we found and leave the timing up to you, and we can put a written quote together whenever you want one.
Can I put a newer heat pump or mini-split on a plan?
Yes. We service furnaces, central air, heat pumps and ductless mini-splits. Mini-split heads need their filters and coils cleaned regularly, and a plan keeps that from being forgotten.
